Get Creative in the Kitchen!

Why does this homemade popsicle make me think of creativity?

When people learn that I am a violinist they often say things like "I wish I was creative" or " I tried playing an instrument once, but I'm not musical or creative at all." My immediate reaction is... LIES! You are creative. Creativity exists in all of us.

Creativity is crucial to your happiness and wellbeing.

Can you take a moment right now and consider the role that creativity plays in your personal day to day life? Does it show up in ways you haven't previously considered to be creative?

And if you want an assignment; order some popsicle molds right now and start experimenting in the kitchen! Combine your favorite smoothie ingredients in a blender and see what happens when frozen. Maybe you make some that are good and some that suck. Who cares! It will be a part of your creative process. And at least it will be a cold treat for this summer heat. Spending time experimenting in the kitchen is a fun AND nourishing way to activate your creativity.

What are your favorite popsicle flavors? Let me know in the comments! I've been experimenting with strawberry, lemon, blueberry, chocolate (cacao). I've also been having fun adding unexpected ingredients like basil. The popsicle in this photo is strawberry basil!
